TikTok replies show "Failed": how to fix it
Messages arrive from TikTok but your replies don't go out? Find the cause and fix it in a few taps.

When TikTok refuses a reply, the red line under the message in your inbox says why. Match it below.
"No DM permission" or "Reconnect TikTok"
- 1In the TikTok app: Settings and privacy → Account → Switch to Business Account, and finish TikTok's Business Verification (business documents).
- 2Sign in at business.tiktok.com with the same account, so it's linked to TikTok for Business.
- 3In Chatmizer: Channels → TikTok → disconnect, then connect again. Accounts connected before 10 September 2026 must reconnect once.
"Still a message request" or "blocked by messaging restrictions"
The customer's first message is waiting in TikTok's Message requests. Accept it in the TikTok app once. To stop this happening: Settings and privacy → Privacy → Direct messages → Everyone.
"Within 48 hours" or "10 replies"
TikTok's own rule for every business: you can reply up to 10 times within 48 hours of the customer's last message. Both reset the moment they write again, and your agent picks up from there. Nothing to fix.
"Region"
TikTok doesn't allow apps to send DMs for accounts in the EU (EEA), the UK or Switzerland. Comments still work.
